Assignment Profile:
 Our client is a financial services regulatory and compliance consultancy based in the city They specialise in providing bespoke compliance consultancy services both to mainstream financial services firms and to sectors where financial services are a secondary activity. Our client is expanding due to increased demand for their services. They are seeking to engage two experienced regulatory professionals to join the team in delivering high quality regulatory consultancy services to their clients. This is fundamentally a client-facing role, the successful candidates will bring detailed technical knowledge and a proven ability to deliver high quality practical solutions to the regulatory challenges of clients. This position offers a fantastic opportunity within a growing organisation with industry-leading expectations. The successful candidate will have a strong technical knowledge in the following areas: Financial Services Regulation Deep knowledge (Subject Matter Expertise) of Financial Services and related Regulations e.g. Significant detailed knowledge of large areas of the FSA Handbook; FSMA 2000; Regulated Activities Order; MiFID; Ability to analyse and interpret detailed regulations and apply and articulate such interpretation in relation to real business scenarios; Ability to provide broad insight into the practical impact of regulatory change across the financial services industry; Broad technical understanding of the rationale for different approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements across the financial services industry; Ability to provide proportionate, considered, risk-conscious advice in response to the practical challenges of financial services regulation to a broad range of financial services institutions of varying sizes and complexity; Ability to identify and suggest ways to mitigate regulatory risk; and Broad understanding of thematic priorities of key regulatory stakeholders, both at a domestic and European level.   Significant industry knowledge of at least one of the following sectors: Fund/Asset Management Stock-broking Private Equity Venture Capital Corporate Finance Detailed knowledge of related financial services regulation and risk practices.

Candidate Profile:
You will be a Degree holder with additional relevant professional and industry qualification and a minimum of 3 to 5 years Financial Services experience, either in industry or in an advisory or business consulting capacity to financial services institutions, with particular sector experience as noted above. Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging work environment; Strong organisation, planning and team playing skills; Excellent interpersonal skills; including oral and written communication; and influencing skills; Proven track record of delivery of high quality output to time and budget; Strong IT skills (including major Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
