Assignment Profile:
Our client is an international financial services company located in Dubai; they are seeking to employ a Regulatory Consultant to join the compliance department.

Our client takes a broad view on candidate suitability and would prefer candidates to have extensive and varying experience within the regulated financial services industry

Duties and responsibilities will include the following;

Deliver effective and efficient risk-based regulatory support. This will include;

Analysis of financial returns;

Conducting various regulatory reviews;

Examining strategy, systems and controls;

Producing risk assessments and risk mitigation programmes;

Participation in ad hoc projects within the department and elsewhere.

Contributing to the on-going development and enhancement of the overall compliance.

Candidate Profile:
Successful candidates are likely to be well educated to degree level, with additional industry qualifications

Have at least10 years Compliance/Regulation or potentially Internal Audit experience

Have excellent and current Financial Services knowledge, in AML, Prudential, COBS and Funds

Have a good understanding of collective investment funds (including alternatives such as hedge funds and private equity funds), structured products, business models/strategies and control issues in Wealth Management, Private Banking and investment management.

Ability to work on your own account and initiative with minimum supervision

Effective in engaging firms, colleagues and other stakeholders in open communication both verbally and written.

Consistency in completing work assignments and responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.

Proactive and focused on delivering positive and prompt regulatory outcomes.

Open to change and to volunteer information and ideas with the department

Co-operative working style that leads to the right results being achieved in a timely manner.

Willingness to learn and stay informed with current regulatory developments both in the Dubai and internationally
