Assignment Profile:

Our client is a Regulatory Consultancy seeking a Data Protection and GDPR Consultant. The primary responsibility will be the successful execution of client risk assessment projects

You will be an individual who can handle your own clients with all their GDPR needs, understanding their business, carrying out a full review or gap analysis, mapping data flows and so on.

You will be comfortable in a client facing role and a competent Data Protection Consultant with detail subject matter knowledge and able to interpret and advise/consult according to the clients business etc.

• Undertaking data protection reviews, including mapping data flows, building data inventories and identifying deficiencies with their existing data governance and Information security programs in relation to data privacy regulations
• Manage client data protection review or risk assessment projects, including:
o Leading calls and meetings to plan engagements and establish expectations, and, following completion of engagements, to present findings and provide analysis
o Analyze client and vendor documents relating to information security, data privacy, IT infrastructure, and development
o Conduct client interviews, office and system inspections, network scanning, and other on-site or remote analysis as required for client engagements
o Conduct data privacy and cyber-security training sessions for client staff
o Developing policy and report documents
• Assist the team to broaden and enhance the service and product offering
• Research technology solutions and develop written solutions landscapes on product offerings
• Build and manage client relationships
• Mentor and train junior staff, as assigned

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• At least 3 years information security, or IT governance experience required
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations, including GDPR, and other associated directives

• Experience undertaking data protection reviews/audits
• Technology expertise in at least one technology domain (e.g. infrastructure, development, or information security)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated professional integrity
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, small-team environment
• Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritise effectively
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
• Highly motivated and goal oriented; proactive in one’s own education and career progression; volunteers for and shows initiative on both internal and external projects and tasks
